Sajini

We met Sajini in 2015 (centre) when she was unable to afford the funds to go to university. Her father deserted the family and she lived with her mother and two sisters in one room of her uncle’s home. They were very poor but her mother managed to finance her older sister’s education. Sajini had excellent marks and was a bright, outgoing young woman who helped at the local school and temple. Volunteer Hilary Bruun stepped in and offered to support her education.

Here she is today surrounded by students. Sajini is married, looking forward to becoming a mother, loves teaching and clearly her students love her. Thank you, Hilary, for making such a difference in Sajini’s life.
