Since 2005, we have raised a total of $868,000. Of this amount 88% of the funds go directly to the projects.

65% of all donor money goes towards enabling our building projects: homes, schools, playgrounds, community centres and places of worship.

10.5% of all donor money goes towards education. While we do build schools, we consider our education spending to be focused on funding after-school programs and scholarships for university and vocational students.

Special Services

This includes items like computers for university students, meeting special individual needs (such as providing a wheelchair for a young boy with muscular dystrophy), and support for volunteers as requested by donors.

Admin Costs to DWC

The administration costs of 12% go to our partner Developing World Connections, a registered non-profit organization, to manage donations, support volunteers, coordinate trips and provide on-site project management in Sri Lanka. To learn more about our connection with DWC, click here.

All TRIP Canada expenses are paid for by the McKelvey family. Our continued success in raising funds from loyal donors can be attributed to efficient stewardship of all donations, our long-term commitment and the high impact programs delivered.
